From around July 23 to August 23, we welcome the sign of the lion for Leo season. This time brings warm summer energy and is the perfect opportunity to pursue your goals. Leo is a fire sign, making Leo season a time for action, creation, and motion! Leos are loyal beings with huge personalities, and they yearn for the spotlight!

This makes it an ideal sign for superstar singers. From the fearless attitude of Madonna, to the boundless charisma of Mick Jagger, and the strength and resilience of Jennifer Lopez, there is no shortage of iconic Leos who have solidified their place within the music industry.

Join SiriusXM as we look at your musical horoscope this Leo season.

Leo

“Roar” – Katy Perry

It’s your time to shine, Leos. All the vibrant summer energy is on your side! Katy Perry’s pop bop is just what you need to muster up that Leo courage. So, stand up tall, puff out your chest, and roar! Let this motivational song give you all you need to face whatever comes your way.

Aries

“Confident” – Demi Lovato

What’s wrong with being confident? That’s a question frequently asked by people born under the signs of Leo and Aries. Both fire signs aren’t afraid to be their true selves. This Leo season, make room for some of the self-belief that shines through from proud Leo, Demi Lovato. With this empowering anthem playing at full volume, it’s hard not to feel unstoppable!

Listen to the best of Demi Lovato’s pop hits from the 2010s on The 10s Spot (Ch. 11).

Taurus

“My Way” – Frank Sinatra

Those born under the signs of Leo and Taurus are headstrong and independent. They aren’t afraid to be themselves and do things their way. What better song to showcase this than Frank Sinatra’s legendary 1969 hit? It was originally performed by French singer Claude François and called “Comme d’habitude,” which translates to “as usual.” The song was re-written for Sinatra, with new lyrics to match. He then performed it his way, and it’s been synonymous with him ever since.

Gemini

“With a Little Help from My Friends” – The Beatles

As two incredibly sociable star signs, Geminis and Leos tend to form close relationships with their friends. Both signs are loyal –— they form friendships that can last a lifetime and will do anything for the special people in their lives. The Beatles’ 1967 pop-rock hit is an ode to friendship and states that it’s OK to lean on your friends when needed.

Cancer

“You’re The Best” – Joe Esposito

Leos are the cheerleaders of the zodiac signs and will be the first to encourage a Cancerian and push them out of their comfort zone. “You’re The Best,” performed by Joe Esposito for the 1984 movie The Karate Kid, is ideal for that little pep talk that Cancerians may just need to go out and seize the day!

Virgo

“Perfect To Me” – Anne-Marie

Virgos excel in whatever they put their minds to, but they can sometimes be a little self-critical, particularly if something isn’t absolutely perfect. Leos can also strive for perfection and try to look flawless whenever they can. Anne-Marie’s “Perfect To Me” says it’s OK not to be perfect and permits you to love every part of yourself. Leos and Virgos can learn that it’s not only OK to have flaws but also to embrace them.

Libra

“Escape (The Piña Colada Song)” – Rupert Holmes

Libras love to fantasize and imagine, and Leos bring with them some spontaneity. Rupert Holmes’ “Escape,” also known as “The Piña Colada Song,” is about making your fantasies a reality and embracing your spontaneous side. This summer, grab a Piña Colada, get caught in the rain, and allow yourself a little escape!

Scorpio

“Can You Feel the Love Tonight” – Elton John

Just like Leos, Scorpios are known for being exceptionally passionate people. Elton John’s ballad “Can You Feel The Love Tonight” was recorded for the soundtrack of Disney’s 1994 animated film The Lion King — a fitting film for Leo season! The song is a beautiful ode to noticing and appreciating love in all forms — something that both signs are great at!

Sagittarius

“7 Rings” – Ariana Grande

Sometimes it’s nice to indulge a little. Whether going on a wild shopping spree or just buying yourself a little treat, people born under the signs of Sagittarius and Leo like to enjoy life’s luxuries. Inspired by “Favorite Things” from the musical The Sound of Music, “7 Rings” reminds us to treat ourselves, enjoy the fruits of our labor, and occasionally embrace a mindset of self-indulgence.

Capricorn

“Always Look on the Bright Side of Life” – Monty Python

As Capricorn is an earth sign, those born under it tend to be somewhat grounded. Realism and practicality are admirable traits. However, this Leo season might be a good time to put more focus on the positives. Originally recorded for the 1979 comedy film Monty Python’s Life of Brian, the song has become an anthem about trying to be optimistic, even in dire circumstances.

Aquarius

“Can’t Stop the Feeling!” – Justin Timberlake

Leos and Aquarians are both fun-loving and energetic star signs. Justin Timberlake’s song, from the 2016 movie Trolls, is a great song to vibe along to on a bright summer’s day and will bring out the pure joy within both signs.

It’s nearly impossible to stop yourself from singing and dancing along to “Can’t Stop the Feeling!” — we dare you to try!

Pisces

I Wanna Dance with Somebody (Who Loves Me) – Whitney Houston

Pisceans and Leos love to have fun. They love to dance. And they love to love. Whitney Houston was born under the sign of Leo and exemplified the sign with her warm, caring nature. This upbeat classic allows everyone to party alongside their loved ones and fits right in with Leo season!
