John Legend dedicated a “special” song to his daughter called “Right by You” on his forthcoming album, “Darkness and Light,” but his baby girl doesn’t quite grasp her father’s star power.

“Luna has no idea who I am right now,” he said Thursday on Shade 45’s “Sway in the Morning” about his six-month-old with Chrissy Teigen.

“Really? Does she say ‘Dada’?” host Sway Calloway asked.

“She don’t say anything yet. She says noises right now,” the singer said. “She has no words yet.”

“Does she get excited when you walk in a room?” Calloway continued.

“She definitely gets excited when you walk in, but then you notice she does it with strangers, too, so it’s always like, well… ” Legend said, laughing.

On a darker note, Legend discussed close friend Kim Kardashian’s “insane” and “scary” armed robbery in a Paris hotel and whether what she and Kanye West are going through affects how he and his own celebrity wife behave in the spotlight.

Although Legend acknowledged “we have to be careful about Snap[chatting] and things like that, because people know exactly where you are,” he defended the couple against scrutiny over the incident.

“People were criticizing, you know, security, this and that. But five people with guns come up? I don’t care if you’ve got two or three security people; they got to back up. You don’t want to get in a gun fight,” he said. “You’ve got five armed guys coming, there’s not really much you can do to stop that. Just give them what they want and escape with your life, you know?”

“You just can’t go through life in fear all the time, and we try not to,” he added.
