A natural born headbanger from Arizona, Jose went to Pharmacy school in Memphis but at the crossroads in life chose music over medicine, and since 2000 has passionately led the satellite radio rock revolution! Mangin is a Director of Programming at SiriusXM, lead curator for Liquid Metal, and hosts shows daily on LM and Octane. In addition to radio, Jose is the founder of Headbang For Science, a 501(c)3 scholarship foundation set up to benefit Metalheads that want to become doctors and/or scientists. Mangin also emcees most of the major rock festivals in the country, and the annual Headbangers Boat Cruise.

Jose "Metal Ambassador" Mangin

A natural born headbanger from Arizona, Jose went to Pharmacy school in Memphis but at the crossroads in life chose music over medicine, and since 2000 has passionately led the satellite radio rock revolution! Mangin is a Director of Programming at SiriusXM, lead curator for Liquid Metal, and hosts shows daily on LM and Octane. He's the longest consecutive full-time host in the history of satellite radio. In addition to SiriusXM, Jose is the founder of Headbang For Science, a 501(c)3 scholarship foundation set up to benefit Metalheads that want to become doctors and/or scientists. Mangin also emcees the annual Headbangers Boat Cruise, plus all the Danny Wimmer Presents major U.S. rock festivals, including Louder Than Life, Welcome To Rockville, Sonic Temple, Aftershock and Inkcarceration.

Shawn the Butcher

Born and raised in Queens, now representing Long Island NY, Shawn Winkler fell in love w/ metal at a young age and has been a die-hard fan ever since. A graduate of the Institute of Audio Research he went from intern to Liquid Metal host to Program Director of Maximum Metallica (ch.42) & Turbo (ch.41), and is also the voice of Shade 45.

Scotty

Scotty C. started playing guitar at an early age but quickly realized he sucked and switched to drums. He got really drunk one night in college, wandered into his college radio station and got his own show. Now he blasts the heaviest music on or off the planet at SiriusXM and in his band, Downfall.

Ian Christe

Ian Christe is the author of Sound of the Beast: The Complete Headbanging History of Heavy Metal. He 's also been published in Spin, AP, CMJ Monthly, Blender, Metal Maniacs and Guitar World, and his digital metal band, Dark Noerd, features on the Gummo soundtrack alongside Sleep, Bathory and Burzum.

Matt Heafy

Matthew Kiichi Heafy is a Grammy nominated frontman of the 25 year strong international touring act, Trivium, boasting millions of albums sold and countless shows played. MKH has created one of the most successful Twitch music channels in its history, which has been actively streaming every Trivium show around the globe for the last 6+ years. Heafy has branched recently heavily into the game scoring world, boasting several full game scores under his belt, with film scoring next. In 2022 Matt joined SiriusXM to host a weekly show on Liquid Metal called “Chaos Hour,” where he brings his love of gaming, food & Metal to the masses.
