Lala broke off her engagement to Randall in October 2021 when she learned Randall was allegedly cheating on her; the two share a daughter, Ocean, who was born in March of that same year. When Jeff asked Lala how long it took her to feel normal again after everything that happened with that relationship, Lala explained that it’s still hard.

“There are certain things about my situation where I’m not able to talk about them. There’s a reason why I’ve been in a custody situation,” she said, referring to alleged investigations into Randall for child exploitation. “But if we’re just going to talk about the cheating betrayal, I mean, it has taken me a really long time. It’s still really hard for me to go out and trust men.”

She referred to it as a “luxury” that Randall wasn’t a main cast member on the show, which would’ve forced her to “have really tough conversations” with him in front of an audience.

“I don’t know how to shut up,” she told Jeff, “so if you put someone in front of me who’s done me very dirty, I’m going off.”

Upon reflection, Lala admitted that maybe a public confrontation like that on “Vanderpump Rules” would have been good for her. Because of the way her relationship with Randall ended, it’s taken her “a very long time to find closure and heal,” she said.

“I still don’t have the closure,” she added, as their custody battle continues, “but the healing part I feel like we’re doing really well.”
