Fare Thee Well: Celebrating 50 Years of Grateful Dead

Calling all Dead heads! We know it’s hard out there for a Grateful Dead fan. Your favorite band is playing its last few shows, and tickets are close to impossible to come by. But that doesn’t mean you have to miss out on this historic event. SiriusXM will broadcast the Grateful Dead’s Fare Thee Well: Celebrating 50 Years of Grateful Dead historic concerts from Chicago right on the band’s exclusive SiriusXM channel, which was created with the band members and is curated by Dead experts.

These shows, which mark the band members’ final performances together, will air from Solider Field in Chicago on July 3, July 4, and July 5 at 9:15 pm ET, via satellite on SiriusXM’s Grateful Dead Channel (Ch. 23) and through the SiriusXM App on smartphones and other connected devices, as well as online at siriusxm.com.

Additionally, the concerts will be rebroadcast the day after each performance and again over Labor Day weekend.

David Gans and Gary Lambert, hosts of the Grateful Dead Channel’s interactive talk show Tales from the Golden Road, will broadcast a special edition of their weekly SiriusXM show before and after the concerts, giving their insider perspective with help from special guest David Lemieux, a Grateful Dead archivist and Grateful Dead Channel host.

You can also stream all the Fare Thee Well concerts across the Internet (via Live Alliance) and see the concerts in select theaters across the country (via Fathom Events).
