Sounding Of "Taps"

Once the first three notes of "Taps" are heard, it is recognized anywhere in the world. As the call is sounded in the evening, it tells the soldier everything is safe, there are guards on duty, and all is secure. SiriusXM and 40s on 4 will honor those who served our Armed Forces with a moment of silence and a solemn playing of this respectful call of remembrance. World renown bugler Master Sergeant Jari Villanueva performs at sunset (approximated) in each time zone* on Memorial Day. *Note: Most SiriusXM stations will also observe the playing of Taps at 12 pm ET.
