All you need is Tesla Premium Connectivity or an active Wi-Fi connection to start your trial.

Download the new software for your Tesla app to make sure it’s up to date and look for SiriusXM in the app tray on your Tesla. Then select SiriusXM to launch it.

Look for the SiriusXM trial on the touchscreen in your Tesla and tap on "Listen Now."
3.
Navigate to the Subscription tab and scan the QR code that appears. Then follow the instructions to register your SiriusXM Tesla account. Tip for existing subscribers: Enter the same email associated with your current SiriusXM account for a single Online Account Center login.

If your Radio ID starts with a “V”, you may be eligible for a one-month trial to our premium level service. No credit card required. Your trial must be activated in-vehicle and cannot be activated outside of the vehicle. Premium Connectivity or an active WiFi connection is required. Premium Connectivity sold separately by Tesla. If your Radio ID does not start with a “V”, you may be eligible for a three-month trial to our premium level service. A trial subscription is only available to Customers without an existing SiriusXM subscription.
- Install the latest Over-the-air (OTA) update via wifi connection.
- Once the software update is installed, the SiriusXM Icon will display within Media Sources.
- A blue dot underneath the app indicates a new app.
- Open the SiriusXM app and select Listen Now.
- Accept the terms and conditions.
- Enjoy SiriusXM in your car or connected devices with the SiriusXM app
- The remaining days in trial will display under the Subscription tab.

- You will need your Radio ID number under the Subscription tab.
- Tap the SiriusXM button from your in-car center touchscreen.
- If you can’t hear SiriusXM channels, select the SiriusXM Subscription tab for instructions to refresh your radio.
If your Radio ID starts with a V:
If your Radio ID does NOT start with a V:
- Open SiriusXM in your Tesla and navigate to the subscription tab.
- (Requires Premium Connectivity or an active WiFi Connection. Premium Connectivity sold separately by Tesla. Learn more about your Tesla Premium Connectivity, here.)
- Scan the QR code.
- Choose your plan and create your SiriusXM Account.
- If desired, enable passkey and add a phone number.
- Choose a plan and purchase service.
If your Radio ID does NOT start with a V:
- Contact SiriusXM at (855) 851-8750 or register your account online to sign up with a paid subscription.
- You will need your Radio ID number, located under the Subscription tab.
- Tap the SiriusXM button from your in-car center touchscreen.
- If you can’t hear SiriusXM channels, select the Subscription tab for instructions to refresh your radio.
