Attorney General Keith Ellison: If Named Prosecutor in the George Floyd Case, He Will "Play This Thing By the Book"

Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison to Joe Madison: "So I do have a role to play, but it's not direct prosecution unless it's referred. If somehow that were to happen, I need to make sure that I can look the judge in the face and say, 'you know, Your Honor, obviously I looked at the evidence and obviously I brought the charges up that were appropriate.' And we're going to play this thing by the book. We're not going to play to the crowd. And we're going to make sure that this thing is airtight, if we come to a point where it's charged and these people are convicted and they are facing criminal sanctions."
