Kenny Loggins and Christopher Cross Perform Yacht Rock Hits During Concert-Cruise Special
The genre captains played their smoothest hits as they sailed around New York City on the Horizon’s Edge yacht.
On June 13, 2022, yacht rock vanguards Kenny Loggins and Christopher Cross celebrated the summer season with “SiriusXM Presents Yacht Rock the Boat,” a special invitation-only concert cruise for SiriusXM listeners.
“At the time we were creating this new kind of music that was happening organically — we had no idea it would turn into what is now known as Yacht Rock. I’m excited to bring it all full circle and perform some of those same songs on a yacht for the first time in my career,” Loggins told SiriusXM ahead of the show.
Loggins and Cross performed their smoothest hits for Yacht Rock Radio as they sailed around New York City on the Horizon’s Edge yacht. The setlist included Loggins’ 1986 song “Danger Zone,” Cross’s 1979 song “Sailing,” and more. Watch the full hour-long concert special on the SiriusXM app now.
