Vanessa Carlton’s Viral Drake Performance Came Together Fast
The “A Thousand Miles” singer detailed her surprise appearance at Wireless Festival on ‘Hits 1 Miami with Mack & Jen.’

Vanessa Carlton recently appeared “Hits 1 Miami with Mack & Jen” on SiriusXM Hits 1 and opened up about joining Drake on stage to perform her timeless hit “A Thousand Miles” at his Wireless Festival in London, revealing the surprise performance came together in “probably less than a week.”
“It was put together very well by our managers,” Vanessa said. “I’m really impressed with both management teams because it was a lot to put together in sort of a short amount of time, but I was really happy to be a part of that show.”
The 44-year-old singer-songwriter also shared her reaction to hearing Drake’s fans sing along with her at Finsbury Park.
“I felt amazing energy on the stage,” she said. “However, I’m wearing inner ear monitors… I didn’t get a sound check or anything, so I just wanted to make sure it was all sounding okay on my end.”
