After a six-decade career in what’s been dubbed the mainstream media, Rather is taking his words and wisdom to a new platform.

Trump “is very much the person now that he was then,” Burnett recalled to host Dan Rather.

She spoke to Dan Rather about whether or not the new president would be able to bring unity back to the country.

“There is a tremendous amount of distrust in the political system, and it’s not necessarily misplaced distrust,” Tapper said to Rather.

“By surviving Sunday and living to fight another day, Donald Trump keeps his hopes alive,” Rather said on his Radio Andy show.

“The difference this year is quite simple: it’s Donald Trump,” Stelter told Rather.
