Rising singer-songwriter Stella Lefty stopped by SiriusXM Studios for a special performance and conversation, treating fans to live renditions of her breakout songs “Boston” and “I Know I Know,” along with a heartfelt cover of Miley Cyrus’ “The Climb.”

During her appearance on “Hits 1 on 1,” Stella sat down with SiriusXM Hits 1 host Mikey Piff to discuss her whirlwind rise over the past year. She reflected on growing up in the Chicago suburbs, writing songs inspired by crushes and real-life experiences, and how Taylor Swift’s debut album first inspired her to pursue music.

Additionally, Stella shared the story behind her viral hit “Boston,” revealing she wrote the chorus in just 15 minutes while getting ready to meet the guy she’s now dating. She admitted she posted the song to an alternate TikTok account “just for fun” before fans quickly embraced it.

The singer also opened up about moving to Los Angeles after college to chase her dream, despite her family’s initial skepticism, and teased more new music and a busy touring schedule, including her upcoming headlining tour and dates opening for Tucker Wetmore.

Watch Stella’s rendition of “The Climb” — Miley’s 2009 hit from “Hannah Montana: The Movie” — above, and stream her full performance and interview only on the SiriusXM app.

The SiriusXM Hits 1 channel plays today’s pop hits and features hosts like Mikey, The Morning Mash Up, Mack and Jen, Tony Fly and Symon, and Spyder Harrison.
