Niall Horan Shares His Love of Frank Sinatra, the Beer Emoji, and Corn Flakes
He also told a hilarious Halloween story and revealed what song he learned first on guitar.

After treating subscribers to an intimate performance of “This Town,” his debut solo single, Niall Horan helped out SiriusXM Hits 1 host Spyder Harrison by taking over “The Halloweekend Countdown” special and unveiling the top 45 songs in North America.
In honor of the holiday, the One Direction singer recalled wearing what he thought was a low-key costume one year by throwing on a soccer — er, football — jersey and kicking around a ball with his friend at a London party.
It didn’t end well.
“We actually got in trouble when we got in because one of the boys kicked the ball behind the bar and the barman wasn’t happy, so he took our ball off us and stuck a knife in it, like we are 10-year-olds,” Horan shared. “Which we looked like, in fairness. We were wearing Real Madrid soccer jerseys with Cristiano Ronaldo on the back.”
Here are more fun facts we learned from Horan’s takeover:
Late Celebrity He Wishes He’d Met
‘Ol Blue Eyes, Frank Sinatra.
“He’s a big hero of mine,” Horan said. “If you walk around my house, you will see a lot of pictures of Frank Sinatra. I’m a huge swing fan in general, so any of the Rat Pack, preferably Frank.”
Favorite Emojis
The monkey covering his eyes and ears, and “the beer one, which is always useful” for the Irishman.
First Song He Learned on Guitar:
“Wonderwall” by Oasis.
“I think that’s always the case,” he admitted. “Anyone who learns the guitar, one of their first songs to learn is ‘Wonderwall’ because just the chords are simple and so is the strumming pattern.”
Favorite Food to Binge
“I eat a lot of food, and I will always have, like, after my dinner, 20 minutes later, I’ll always have a bowl of Corn Flakes, which is quite random and strange,” he said. “But Corn Flakes just do it for me like other cereals do it for everyone else, but I’m just a boring Corn Flakes man.”
