On the heels of their aptly-titled eighth studio album, “F8,” Five Finger Death Punch is taking over Octane’s hard-rock airwaves every hour for five days straight.

Starting February 28, the Vegas-based band members are shouldering Guest DJ duties surrounding the release of “F8 (pronounced “fate,” not unlike what brought Octane and the band together for this five-day takeover). The album, announced last May, was preceded by the single “Inside Out” back in December.

To vocalist Ivan Moody, “Inside Out” represents his struggles with addiction, while the record as a whole repeats that sentiment, along with paying tribute to friends he’s lost throughout his period of struggle (such as Linkin Park’s Chester Bennington).

Guitarist Zoltan Bathory considers “F8” to be a “rebirth” of the band, which takes on a double meaning as the first studio album with new drummer Charlie Engen and the embodiment of a refocused (and sober) group.
