During his session as Guest DJ on The Beatles Channel, Alec Baldwin explored the enduring vocal legacies of John Lennon and Paul McCartney.
After introducing the song “This Boy,” Baldwin suggested that it is “one of the most beautiful songs Lennon sang as a Beatle.”
He added, “Lennon’s style was more ‘these are difficult things for me to say.’ And when he sings it, you can hear that in the singing.”
Switching to McCartney, Baldwin said, “He could speak on a radio show and say two syllables, and you’d know exactly who it is … One of the greatest singers in world history, and again, great range.”
