Miranda Lambert opened up about reuniting with fellow Texas star Kacey Musgraves onstage at the iconic Gruene Hall in the Lone Star State.
During a recent interview with Cody Alan on The Highway (Ch. 56), Miranda reflected on surprising fans during Kacey’s show to perform their collaboration, “Horses and Divorces,” calling the night “electric” and deeply meaningful. The country star shared that Gruene Hall has been part of her life for years, from family trips floating the Guadalupe River to watching live music in the legendary Texas venue.
“It was really healing, honestly,” she said of their reunion. “It was good to be back with an East Texas sister.”
Miranda revealed that the pair’s connection goes back decades, long before either became country music stars. She recalled meeting Kacey as kids while performing at local Texas oprys, with their families becoming close friends over the years. “People don’t know how deep the history goes,” she explained, remembering nights spent singing karaoke together at Kacey’s grandparents’ house.
During the interview, Miranda also spoke about her friendship with Ella Langley, saying the “Choosin’ Texas” singer reminds her of a younger version of herself.
