Mike Tyson Says He Hand-Delivered Diddy’s Letter to President Trump
The retired boxing pro also talked about his upcoming Netflix documentary, “TYSON.”
Mike Tyson didn’t hesitate when it came to helping a friend in need.
During a conversation on Radio Andy’s Andy Cohen Live to promote his upcoming Netflix documentary, TYSON, the former heavyweight champion shared how he passed along a message from Sean “Diddy” Combs — who is currently serving a 50-month federal prison sentence — to President Donald Trump.
“I spoke with him once on the phone yes,” Mike, 60, told Andy on October 8. “He wanted me to give a letter to the president.”
Mike didn’t disclose details about the letter but shared that he “did what he told me to do,” when it came to passing the letter from the disgraced Bad Boy mogul to President Trump.
Mike himself is no stranger to spending time behind bars. In 1992 he was convicted of rape and served 3 years at the Indiana Youth Center. Time Mike boasted as “the best three years of my life.”
“Everybody knew I was there for the wrong reason,” he said. “Everybody, the police, the guards. Everybody was so sympathetic towards me. Every day, they made sure I worked out 3 times a day. It was my job to work out.”
Mike candidly speaks about the highs and lows, including his past drug use, loss of his mother and daughter and more, in his 4-part Netflix documentary TYSON, and he wants the world to shape their own opinions about him.
“That’s why we have the documentary,” he told Andy. “Use your own perspective of what you think about me.”
