Lamar Odom spoke with SiriusXM host Gray Rizzy on Hip-Hop Nation. In light of the recent release of the Netflix documentary “Untold: The Life & Death of Lamar Odom,” the former NBA star opened up about his relationship with Khloé Kardashian and shared his one regret about their marriage.

“We had some business people in common, and then [we] started hanging out,” Lamar said of how he and Khloé met in 2009, “and then, 30 days later, we were married.”

In response to such a short timeline, Lamar explained that he was living in what he called “pimp or die mode” as a Los Angeles Lakers player.

“I don’t really regret it,” he said about their relationship. “I mean, honestly, it kind of keeps me relevant in this social media world that we live in, probably for the rest of my life, but that’s not why I married her.”

When Gray Rizzy said that Lamar and Khloé’s whirlwind union appeared to be “a marriage to combine powers,” Lamar insisted there was “definitely” love between them.

“I didn’t have any problem getting women, excuse my language,” Lamar said. “I moved to LA when I was 19. I’m not an ugly dude. I’m from Queens. I know how to talk, so it’s not like that, but when your gut tells you, I just follow my gut. I consider your gut [to be] the God in you.”

Speaking of God, Lamar admitted that the one regret he does have about his failed marriage to Khloé was that he broke a vow.

“I kind of lied to God about holding it down,” Lamar said. “That’s the one regret I have about that relationship, but everything else was gravy.”

Khloé filed for divorce at the end of 2013; it wasn’t finalized until July 2015.
