John Travolta Reveals Mistake in Quentin Tarantino’s ‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’
The actor points out the historical inaccuracy during an interview with his “Propeller One-Way Night Coach” cast.

John Travolta shares a surprising behind-the-scenes story about Quentin Tarantino’s “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” during an exclusive SiriusXM interview with the cast of John’s directorial debut, “Propeller One-Way Night Coach.”
In an interview debuting next week, John Travolta, Ella Bleu Travolta, Clark Shotwell, and Kelly B. Eviston sit down with host Sam Roberts to discuss their film and John recently winning an honorary Palme d’Or at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival.
During the interview, John also reveals that while watching Quentin Tarantino’s meticulously detailed 1969-set film “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood,” he spotted what he believed was a major historical inaccuracy involving a Boeing 747. According to John, the aircraft shown flying Leonardo DiCaprio’s character to Europe technically wasn’t in service until January 1970.
“I freaked out,” John says, explaining that even the aviation museum supplying the plane warned Quentin about the timeline discrepancy.
But what was Quentin’s response? “I don’t care.”
John also reflects on his viral Cannes fashion moment, explaining that his beret-and-glasses look was inspired by classic directors like Fellini and Truffaut.
Plus, Ella Bleu Travolta also opens up about collaborating with her father, saying their close relationship created a natural creative shorthand while working together on the film.
The full interview premieres May 27 at 10am ET exclusively on SiriusXM’s Faction Talk (Ch. 103) and will be available to stream anytime on the SiriusXM app.
