‘RHOSLC’s’ Heather Gay Says She’s ‘Shocked’ by Whitney Rose’s Divorce Filing
“The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star” reacted to the news live on a new episode of Radio Andy’s “Reality Checked.”
Heather Gay was caught off guard by news of Whitney Rose’s divorce filing.
The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City cast member appeared on Radio Andy’s Reality Checked with Dorinda Medley and Kiki Monique and said she was “shocked” after learning that co-star Whitney Rose had filed for divorce from her husband, Justin Rose, after 17 years of marriage.
“I thought that they were just separating and working on it,” Heather told KiKi. “It’s sad to me.”
Heather — who went through her own divorce with ex husband Billy Gay in 2014 — admitted she understands how hard it is to navigate.
“I love Justin, I love their family,” she said. “I know how hard divorce is and this just sucks. And I can’t imagine doing it on this platform publicly. I can’t imagine Page Six posting about it. And me having to like deal with that with every person I see at the grocery store and with my kids.”
Heather noted that she navigated her divorce “secretly and slowly,” allowing her to empathize with Whitney.
“I did that to protect how difficult it was,” she told Kiki. “And I can’t imagine ripping the band-aid off like that. It would be really, really hard. Really difficult.”
