Chelsea Handler Fires Back at Heather McDonald: ‘She Should Be Scared of Me’

Comedian Heather McDonald made headlines last weekend after proclaiming she “lived in fear” of her former boss, Chelsea Handler, while working on E!’s “Chelsea Lately.”
“100 percent lived in fear,” McDonald said of Handler on the latest episode of the podcast “Allegedly.” “I enjoyed my time there, but something can happen and my heart would be beating and I’d be like, ‘Is this it?’ Somehow I just managed to keep surviving.”
McDonald added, “She makes you feel so special until you’re not,” saying she felt blindsided by how the show ended.
Handler joined Jenny McCarthy’s “Dirty, Sexy, Funny” show on Stars on SiriusXM to give her side of the story.
“[McDonald] exchanged stories to ‘US Weekly’ in exchange for them running her photo when she was working on my show. That’s why I stopped talking to her,” Handler said. “I could’ve fired her, but instead I just stopped spending any personal time with her.”
All in all, Handler is unimpressed.
“She would never say anything to my face. She would only say that on the radio … Now she should really be scared. What a loser.”
