Wyatt Russell comes from Hollywood royalty: He’s the son of movie stars Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn, and his siblings, Kate Hudson and Oliver Hudson, have already broken into the family business.

Now, the 29-year-old former professional hockey player is making a name for himself in Richard Linklater’s new comedy, “Everybody Wants Some!!”

How has Wyatt’s famous family inspired him along the way? With dad Kurt, “the advice was kind of weirdly few and far between in certain respects,” Wyatt, laughing, told Jenny McCarthy on Tuesday’s episode of “Dirty, Sexy, Funny.” “He would say, ‘It’s good work if you can get it, know your lines, and be on time.'”

“My mom would say, I guess, ‘Be present,'” he added. “Always be present with the environment that you’re in and the person that you’re working with.”

Rom-com queen Kate, 36, has stolen the spotlight ever since her leading role as free-spirited groupie Penny Lane in “Almost Famous” (2000) — and Wyatt says she teaches by example.

“Kate’s so good at what she does,” he told Jenny. “She’s such an incredible actress that just watching her for me, watching the little things that she does — she does more with that than she could ever say, in a way, to me. She’s special in that way. I really believe that. With her, I like to watch her and see what she does, ’cause it’s very inward with her when she’s acting. It’s pretty incredible.”

Although it took Oliver Hudson, 39, a little longer to step out of his sister’s shadow, he won over audiences as an evil record executive on “Nashville” before playing a hot dad with a dark past on the fall TV season’s buzziest show, Ryan Murphy’s “Scream Queens.”

Oliver’s tip to his little brother, Wyatt said, was, “Just be your true self and be honest … Because when he’s honest and is who he is, there’s nobody funnier.”

“Everybody Wants Some!!” hits theaters Friday, and “Dirty, Sexy, Funny” with Jenny McCarthy airs weekdays at 10am ET on Stars.
