Hear U2 revisit their roots with a special 50th anniversary performance at Mount Temple in Dublin.
U2 went back to school for a milestone performance.
Bono, The Edge, Adam Clayton, and Larry Mullen Jr. returned to the Mount Temple Comprehensive School in Dublin, Ireland, on September 25, in honor of their 50th anniversary, for a live show that debuted on SiriusXM’s U2 X-Radio (Ch. 32).
Five decades after the band formed in 1976, they surprised fans and current students at Mount Temple with a performance of some of their classics, including “Vertigo,” “Beautiful Day,” and “One.”
U2 also delivered the first live performance of their new single “Silencio,” from their upcoming album Carnaval de Luz, out November 13. Closing out the show with an encore for the crowd, U2 played a new arrangement of their 1987 hit “With or Without You.”
