“The Voice” Season 29 coaches Kelly Clarkson and John Legend appeared on “The Morning Mash Up” on SiriusXM Hits 1 (Ch. 2) to discuss the return of the long-running series on NBC tonight (February 23).

The latest season is dubbed “The Battle of Champions” as all three coaches (including Adam Levine) have previously won on the show. During Kelly and John’s interview with Ryan Sampson, Nicole Ryan, and Stanley T, the two multi-Grammy winners previewed the all-star season, shared pop songs that they’d cover, picked their favorite renditions of their own songs by other artists, and more.

“This was the hardest out of any season I’ve done,” Kelly revealed during the conversation, “because we literally almost turned for the same people every time.”
