Stassi Schroeder Reveals How She Got Katie Maloney Back on Reality TV

Stassi Schroeder is sharing how she convinced longtime friend Katie Maloney to return to reality TV for her new series, “House of Stassi.”
During her upcoming appearance on Radio Andy’s “Smith Sisters Live,” Stassi reveals she sent Katie a candid voice note acknowledging how happy she seemed away from the cameras while making the case for why the show could be a fresh start for both of them.
“I think that there are a lot of things that have gone unsaid,” Stassi says. “I think that this would be a good opportunity for everyone… It’s just like a win-win and you’re the person who I know how to do reality TV with.”
Stassi adds she also made it clear Maloney didn’t have to say yes.
“And if you’re happy and you don’t want to do this again, tell me to f— off and I will leave you alone,” Stassi says. “And she was like, ‘That actually sounds like something I would want to do.'”

The former “Vanderpump Rules” star also explains why becoming an executive producer was non-negotiable before returning to reality TV, admitting she refused to let her family appear on a show unless she had creative control over how her children were portrayed.
“I will not let my family be on a show unless I’m a producer,” Stassi says. “This is for my children.”
Plus, Stassi shares how she separated her executive producer role from being a cast member, telling her co-stars before filming began that she wanted to be treated like everyone else.
“I am your co-star,” Stassi says. “I won’t know about your storylines. I’m not going to ask.”
