Metallica Stops by ‘The Howard Stern Show’ to Celebrate New ’72 Seasons’ Album

Metallica returned to “The Howard Stern Show” today (April 12) in celebration of their upcoming album, “72 Seasons.”
During their appearance, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame band demonstrated how they created the legendary “Enter Sandman” riff, discussed how Ozzy Osbourne helped give them their big break, recalled how Kirk Hammett procured his iconic “greeny” guitar, and much more. They also performed tracks from “72 Seasons.”
Produced by Greg Fidelman, “72 Seasons” will drop on April 14 and feature 12 songs, including the previously released “Lux Æterna,” “Screaming Suicide,” “If Darkness Had a Son,” and “72 Seasons” (see full tracklist below).
Additionally, Metallica recently relaunched their exclusive SiriusXM channel, Mandatory Metallica. The channel features the band’s ferocious, heavy music, including their remasters, demos, alternate mixes, live concerts, and favorite songs by other artists.
