Matt Damon Got in ‘the Best Shape’ of His Life Doing a Gut Cleanse with His Wife
Matt Damon sat down with Andy Cohen on “Andy Cohen Live” and revealed that he got in “the best shape” of his life by doing a 90-day gut cleanse with his wife, Luciana Barroso, to trim down for his leading role in the upcoming movie “The Odyssey.”
“I did a gut cleanse with my doctor, who told me to take 90 days to not eat gluten, dairy, alcohol, caffeine, or sugar,” the 55-year-old actor said.
“So it was like 3 months, but I wasn’t working at the time, and I got in like the best shape of my life. And I realized I had this gluten intolerance, so I just didn’t eat gluten,” he added.
During the interview, Matt also talked to Andy about his new Netflix movie also starring his friend Ben Affleck, “The Rip.” Both Matt and Ben promoted the movie during their recent appearance on “The Howard Stern Show.”
“The Odyssey,” set to be released in July 2026, is director Christopher Nolan’s highly anticipated adaptation of Homer’s ancient Greek epic of the same name. The movie will also star Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Robert Pattinson, Lupita Nyong’o, Zendaya, and Charlize Theron.
“Andy Cohen Live” airs weekdays at 10am ET on Radio Andy (Ch. 102). Stream full episodes anytime on the SiriusXM app.
