Lainey Wilson Opens Up About Her 12-Year Journey to Stardom on ‘Exit 209’

The award-winning queen of “bell-bottom country” shared her road to Music City USA.

Country star Lainey Wilson joined SiriusXM host Storme Warren to chat about her 12-year journey to Nashville stardom and much more during the latest edition of his exclusive podcast, “Exit 209.”

During the episode titled “It All Starts with a Mentor,” the award-winning queen of “bell-bottom country” compared her music career to farming, dished on driving a tractor with her father while growing up in a small town in Louisiana, and shared her road to Music City USA.

“Whenever [my family and I] were driving through Nashville for the first time, I told my momma and daddy, ‘This is home,’” Lainey said. “I just knew in my heart I was gonna be here one day. It was a weird sense of peace — even at nine years old.”

She also delved into her early days of living in her camper for three years after moving to Nashville, recalled her childhood gig as a Hannah Montana impersonator, described her love of ’90s country, and more.
