Kenny Chesney celebrated the launch of his new SiriusXM channel, No Shoes Radio, with an intimate performance at The Stone Pony in Asbury Park, NJ, on May 12. The historic venue was jam-packed with SiriusXM listeners who won tickets while hundreds of additional fans gathered outside to hear the set from afar.

Chesney kicked off the night with his 2007 hit “Beer In Mexico” before launching into other fan favorites, including “Til It’s Gone,” “I Go Back,” “American Kids,” “Young,” “Living in Fast Forward,” “When I See This Bar,” and “Somewhere With You.”

When it came time for the song responsible for his channel’s namesake, “No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problem,” he told the crowd, “Everyone out there in the No Shoes Nation, this is your anthem, and it has been since 2002.”

Fans got a taste of Chesney’s upcoming album, “Some Town Somewhere,” with performances of “Save It For A Rainy Day,” “This Life,” and “Noise.” They were also treated to covers from artists who influenced the band, including Willie Nelson’s “Whiskey River,” AC/DC’s “Whole Lotta Rosie,” Stevie Ray Vaughan’s “Pride and Joy,” and Stone Pony veteran Bruce Springsteen’s “One Step Up.”
