About Kenny Chesney’s Silver Sands Marina
Arriving September 25, Silver Sands Marina is Kenny’s 21st studio album and marks a return to what he describes as the experience of creating an album as a complete collection rather than simply a group of individual tracks.
“With all the tracks, the playlists, the drops, I think we’ve forgotten the power of an actual collection of songs designed to work as a whole,” Kenny said.
The 11-song album opens with “Burn My Boat” and closes with “Shot Glass,” with songs exploring emotions, turning points, humor, memories, and the moments that shape a life. Silver Sands Marina also features appearances from Lily Meola, Megan Moroney, and Colbie Caillat.
Co-produced by Kenny and longtime collaborator Buddy Cannon, Silver Sands Marina draws on songs from writers including Shane McAnally, Matraca Berg, Tia Sillers, Jessie Alexander, Jessi Jo Dillon, Adam Wright, and Tennille Townes.
The album includes the title track “Silver Sands Marina,” “Burn My Boat,” and “Carry On,” Kenny’s first independent-label single and his 100th charting single.
