Former Talking Heads frontman David Byrne released his first solo album in 14 years, titled “American Utopia.”

The album features the single “Everybody’s Coming to My House,” which was co-written by Byrne’s longtime collaborator Brian Eno, who produced Talking Heads in the ’70s. Byrne discussed the album and working with Eno during an exclusive SiriusXM Town Hall hosted by Kurt Loder.

When Loder asked about what it’s like to collaborate with Eno after working together for 40 years, Byrne said that the key to their continued success is staying within their creative boundaries.

“The creative boundaries are more like you don’t mess with the other person’s stuff,” Byrne explained. “You try and, as much as you can, accept what their creative contribution [is], and you assume that it’s sincere.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Byrne told Loder about the meaning behind the “American Utopia” album title, the early days of the Talking Heads, and projects he’d like to work on in the future.
