Charli xcx Makes Her ‘Howard Stern Show’ Debut
The pop star joined Howard Stern for Wednesday’s episode.
Charli xcx made her debut on “The Howard Stern Show” Wednesday. Listen to the pop star’s full episode on Howard 100 (Ch. 100) in cars and on the SiriusXM app.
During her appearance, Charli talked about Bowen Yang’s recent ‘Brat’ sketch on “Saturday Night Live.”
“Oh, no, no, no. I think ‘SNL’ is iconic and Troye [Sivan] and I we had an inkling it was coming and so we were very excited about it,” she said. “I love Bowen and I honestly think he did a great job. I was very impressed with the hair texture, actually. I thought it was a really good wig. It was good, it was cool.”
Additionally, the 32-year-old singer-songwriter bonded with Howard about being “anti-bra,” discussed Kamala Harris, reflected on her memorable a cappella performance of Aqua’s “Barbie Girl” when she was 4 years old on a cruise with her parents, and revealed she’s never met one of her music heroes, Britney Spears.
Last week, Charli performed with Troye at New York’s Madison Square Garden for their joint tour. Recently, she has been teasing her upcoming remix version of her hit album “Brat.” Billboards around the country have been spotted by fans showing possible collaborations with Bon Iver and Tinashe.
The “Von Dutch” singer has previously confirmed that the new version of the project, due out on October 11, will feature Lorde, Robyn, Billie Eilish, and Addison Rae. Charli also recently unveiled a remix of “Talk Talk” with Troye Sivan.
