Michigan’s quarterback, J.J. McCarthy, boasts an outstanding career with a remarkable 96.2% winning rate in 26 starts. McCarthy’s accuracy stands out, with a completion rate of 74.2%, the second-best in the country, paired with an average depth of target of 9.8 yards downfield.

The Wolverines’ ground game is equally potent, with Blake Corum reaching 1,000 rushing yards in the conference championship game and setting a new record with 24 rushing touchdowns in a season. Corum’s impact extends to the record books, tying for the most career rushing touchdowns in program history.

Michigan’s defense is a force, ranking among the nation’s best in various categories. They excel on critical downs, boasting top-15 rankings in third-down and fourth-down conversion rates on both offense and defense. The defense has been instrumental in Michigan’s success, with multiple players contributing to interceptions, turnovers, and sacks.
