About Coach K
Through his 46-year Hall of Fame career as a head coach — first at Army West Point (1975-80), then Duke (1980-2022) — Krzyzewski coached his teams to an NCAA-record 1,202 victories.
Coach K led the Duke Blue Devils to five NCAA national championships and a record 13 Final Four appearances, all while mentoring hundreds of players. As the head coach of the USA Basketball Men’s National Team, Coach K won three Olympic gold medals, two FIBA World Championship gold medals, and one FIBA Americas Championship gold medal.
Throughout his career, Krzyzewski has been diligently committed to public service, both locally and nationally. He has or is currently serving on boards for, while also assuming vital roles with, the Duke Children’s Hospital, the Jimmy V Foundation for Cancer Research, the NABC Foundation, the CEO Roundtable on Cancer, and the Emily Krzyzewski Center.
