Laura Coates Reacts to Being Chosen by Alex Trebek as His ‘Jeopardy!’ Replacement

Alex Trebek, who has hosted “Jeopardy!” for more than three decades, recently announced his possible plans to step down from the game show when his contract ends in 2020.

When questioned about who, if given the chance, he would choose to be his replacement, Trebek picked none other than CNN legal analyst and SiriusXM Urban View host Laura Coates.

“I’m just really, really overwhelmed and humbled by [the reaction],” Coates said on air during “The Laura Coates Show” after Trebek’s statement. “And I really just cannot thank you enough.”
