Dear sports fans,

You know the routine. The score is open in one tab. Your fantasy lineup is in another. You’re checking stats, reading the latest news and trying to find the live call before the next big play.

Following a game shouldn’t feel like operating a control room.

That’s why Yahoo Sports and SiriusXM are making it easier to move between following the action and hearing everything surrounding it.

Yahoo Sports has now introduced “Listen on SiriusXM” links across relevant Yahoo Sports app and website game pages for pro football, baseball, basketball and college football. The integration connects fans to SiriusXM live play-by-play when a game is underway — and to related shows, podcasts and other sports programming before and after the game.

In other words: fewer clicks and taps, less searching and more of the sports experience you came for. Background audio also lets you keep listening while you continue using Yahoo Sports to check live stats, read the latest news or follow the broader game experience.

“Listen on SiriusXM” at a glance

  • Available on: Eligible Yahoo Sports app and website pro football, basketball, baseball and college football pages
  • During live games: Corresponding SiriusXM play-by-play, including home and visiting team broadcasts where available
  • Before and after games: Related SiriusXM shows, podcasts and other sports programming
  • Where to listen: The SiriusXM app or web player
  • How to access it: Existing SiriusXM subscribers and trialers can log in; new users can begin a SiriusXM trial or subscription

How does “Listen on SiriusXM” work?

If the game is on, the link will take you to the live play-by-play broadcast. Where available, SiriusXM subscribers can choose between the home and visiting team feeds, so you can hear the announcers covering the team you care about most.

When the game is not live, the link can connect you with related SiriusXM programming, including shows, podcasts and other sports content surrounding the matchup, teams and league.

Already a SiriusXM subscriber? Quickly log in and select the live game stream or other exciting content.

New to SiriusXM? You can begin a trial or subscription and quickly access the available audio.

“Sports fans already turn to Yahoo Sports for scores, statistics, fantasy teams and breaking news. By connecting those experiences directly to SiriusXM live play-by-play and related sports content, we’re reducing the steps between seeing what’s happening and hearing it happen,” said Dave Geary, Senior Vice President, Business Development and Partnerships at SiriusXM. “This integration makes our premium sports audio easier to discover, gives Yahoo Sports users a more connected way to follow the game and introduces SiriusXM to millions of highly engaged fans. It’s another step toward making SiriusXM a home for fandom wherever fans follow the action.”

What will Yahoo Fantasy Ultra subscribers receive?

SiriusXM has also become a featured benefit of the new Yahoo Fantasy Ultra subscription tier.

Eligible Yahoo Fantasy Ultra subscribers can now get their first 6 months free with a SiriusXM All Access (App Only) subscription, providing access to live sports play-by-play and SiriusXM programming through the app.

The benefit brings together two premium subscription experiences while introducing SiriusXM to one of the most passionate and engaged audiences in sports (eligibility requirements and offer terms apply).

How does the Yahoo Sports integration fit SiriusXM’s sports strategy?

This Yahoo Sports integration is the latest in a series of moves designed to make SiriusXM’s sports programming more accessible, more local and easier for you to discover.

On September 1st, 23 local Audacy sports stations, including WFAN in New York and ESPN LA 710, will join the SiriusXM lineup, bringing more hometown sports voices to fans across the country.

That same day, SiriusXM will also launch SiriusXM Sports Pass, a new all-in-one sports audio subscription available to U.S. subscribers for $5 per month or $49 per year (SiriusXM’s full sports lineup will also remain available in its most popular existing plans).

SiriusXM Sports Pass will bring together every live game and sporting event SiriusXM carries, hometown sports talk, exclusive channels, national personalities, expert analysis and podcasts.

Together, the Yahoo Sports integration, the addition of local sports stations and SiriusXM Sports Pass create more ways for fans like you to:

  • Find live game audio and related sports programming
  • Follow hometown teams and trusted local voices
  • Move between scores, fantasy sports, news and live listening
  • Stay connected to the daily sports conversation wherever you are

Each move advances SiriusXM’s vision of becoming a home for fandom by meeting you where you already follow the action and bringing you closer to the games, teams and voices you care about most.

So go ahead: check the score, make the roster move and read the latest update.

We’ll make it easier for you to hear the live call – and stay with the conversation before and after the game.
