The NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs raced to Homestead-Miami Speedway last Sunday. Here’s a look at the Power Rankings after the Dixie Vodka 400:

1. Ross Chastain

His second place finish gave Chastain a series-leading 13 top-five finishes and the Trackhouse Racing driver is showing the prowess that was on display earlier in the season. Another good run at Martinsville will lock Chastain into the Championship 4.

Playoff Grid: 2nd
Last Week: 3rd

2. Denny Hamlin

A trip into the wall late in the race gave Hamlin and the No. 11 Joe Gibbs Racing team a scare. Fortunately for Hamlin he was able to keep going without any damage and brought the car with a decent finish but he’ll need to make up some ground at Martinsville to make it to the Championship 4.

Playoff Grid: 5th
Last Week: 2nd

3. Kyle Larson

One of the most dominating performances in recent memory came from Larson at Homestead as he swept the first two stages and then went on to win the Dixie Vodka 400. Larson led a staggering 199 laps on his way to victory number three of the 2022 season.

Playoff Grid: 9th
Last Week: 10th

4. Joey Logano

A letdown from his opening Round of 8 win at Las Vegas for Logano and company. The Team Penske Ford was not much of a factor at Homestead and ended up with a middle of the pack performance.

Playoff Grid: 1st
Last Week: 1st

5. Chase Elliott

The mediocre Round of 8 rolled on for Elliott who just wasn’t good enough to sustain staying at the front of the field. The back-to-back 1.5-mile tracks to open the round at Las Vegas and Homestead have seen Elliott struggle to be more than average.

Playoff Grid: 3rd
Last Week: 4th

6. Tyler Reddick

He may be leaving Richard Childress Racing at season’s end but Reddick is not phoning in the rest of the season. He once again had a very potent Chevrolet until he lost control and spun before making hard contact with the inside wall sending Reddick out of the race.

Playoff Grid: 12th
Last Week: 6th

7. William Byron

The weekend started off great for Byron after he won the pole. It looked good for the driver that won last year at Homestead until things went south for the Hendrick Motorsports driver who slid back in the field as the checkered flag green near.

Playoff Grid: 4th
Last Week: 8th

8. Ryan Blaney

A rare mistake by Blaney cost him a chance for a better finish at Sunday. He spun coming off of pit road and was not able to make up spots on the race track despite having a very fast Team Penske Ford. Blaney is racing for his Playoff life Sunday at Martinsville.

Playoff Grid: 6th
Last Week: 7th

9. Christopher Bell

A second straight week where Bell could not make up any ground in the Playoff picture after he won at The Roval to make the Round of 8. He too for all intents and purpose will need to take the checkered flag at Martinsville in order to earn a berth in the Championship 4.

Playoff Grid: 7th
Last Week: 9th

10. Chase Briscoe

Luck finally ran out for Briscoe Sunday at Homestead. The Stewart-Haas Racing driver had issues late in the race that sent him to the garage and Briscoe was credited with a last-place finish. He’ll need to win at Martinsville to keep his championship hopes alive.

Playoff Grid: 8th
Last Week: 5th
