Porches Cover ‘Trying Your Luck’ by The Strokes on SiriusXMU

Porches, the solo project of Aaron Maine, were recently in the SiriusXM studios promoting their new album, “Pool.” During their visit, the band chose to pay homage to one of their influences, The Strokes, with a cover of “Trying Your Luck.”
“[The Strokes] just came out at such a crazy formative part of my life,” Maine said. “I had never heard anything like that. They just were so special to me, so responsible for me getting into music as much as I did. I even think melodically Julian [Casablancas] is there in my subconscious.”
The cover airs on SiriusXMU on Thursday, April 7, at 4pm ET; Friday, April 8, at 9am ET; and Sunday, April 10, at 12pm.
