A decade in the waiting, Nipsey Hussle’s release of “Victory Lap” is the much-anticipated, major-label debut for the extremely loyal fan base he’s cultivated over the years.

The Los Angeles MC dropped by the SiriusXM studios in New York City to talk about “Victory Lap” and the other projects he has in the works on Shade 45.

The tracks on “Victory Lap” have a gangland tone, stemming from his arduous life spent on the streets. With an almost complete album, he went to Diddy for additional feedback on making it near perfect. The industry icon then collaborated on the album’s track, “Young N—.”

“We got back in the studio … We just vibed for like two weeks,” Nipsey said during the interview.

When asked by hosts Torae and Gray Rizzy about what else the MC has been up to, he replied, We’ve recently opened up an inner-city co-work space.”

He explained how he partnered with Vector90 and the District 8 Los Angeles City Council to launch a tech, science, math, and engineering center in LA that provides the tools necessary to propel younger generations into successful careers while allowing them to network and create with other entrepreneurs.

Vector90 will also house a STEM program for kids that Nipsey has been working on. The MC is eyeing a number of other urban centers to launch the program as well, including Atlanta, Washington D.C., and San Diego.
