LL COOL J Announces Rock The Bells Radio, Coming Soon to SiriusXM
Celebrating classic hip-hop music, the new channel curated by LL COOL J arrives in early 2018.
LL COOL J is bringing the sound of his roots to SiriusXM, presenting his own classic hip-hop channel, LL COOL J’s Rock The Bells Radio. Launching in early 2018, the channel brings music, interviews, and in-depth retrospectives, all curated and presented by LL COOL J.
Celebrating the beginning of hip-hop, the channel’s name comes from LL’s hit single “Rock The Bells” from his aptly-named debut album, “Radio.”
“My love for hip-hop runs deep, and I’m passionate about restoring its legacy of respect,” says LL. “SiriusXM’s Rock The Bells Radio is a creative community where generations embrace programming that pays respect to the forefathers of the culture while evolving it at the same time.”
LL COOL J started his career in hip-hop at 16 years old, sending a demo to Def Jam Records, which, at the time, was based out of a dorm room at NYU. LL then built a massive profile and branched beyond hip-hop, becoming a pop culture icon as well as a 2018 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame nominee.
