Lamar Jackson spent years having to worry about Trey Hendrickson coming after him. Now, the Baltimore Ravens quarterback is getting a much different view of the star pass rusher — although practices apparently haven’t become any easier.

“Just to have him on our side, man, and don’t have to face him twice a year, it’s extraordinary,” Jackson said during an appearance on SiriusXM NFL Radio.

Jackson also describe what it’s been like trying to operate against Hendrickson in practice.

“I dropped back, you know, probably a one step, like a quick game, footwork drop. He’s already in my face,” Jackson said. “He’s making things happen. He’s getting around the tackles, getting around the guards, and he just — he’s just a wreck.”

Before Hendrickson landed in Baltimore, Jackson had grown accustomed to seeing him on the other side of an AFC North rivalry. Hendrickson established himself as one of the NFL’s premier pass rushers during his time with the Cincinnati Bengals, which meant Baltimore regularly had to account for him when the division rivals met.

Now Jackson gets to watch Hendrickson create those problems for the Ravens offense every day in practice.

“I’m glad he’s on our team,” Jackson said. “He’s gonna make the opposing team’s life difficult on offense, but he’s already making our life difficult on offense in training camp.”

“He’s already making our life difficult on offense in training camp,” Jackson added. “Man, it’s just ridiculous for him. It’s ridiculous for him. I love it. I love it though.”
