Next summer is coming … eventually.
Until season 7 of Game of Thrones airs, we’re left obsessing over this year’s insane finale, and mourning the lives lost in the battle for Westeros.
Entertainment Weekly Radio’s Jessica Shaw and Dalton Ross spoke to the cast at Comic-Con in San Diego on Friday, and Kristian Nairn opened up about his character Hodor’s heartbreaking, time-jumping death after holding the door (get it?) for Isaac Hempstead Wright’s Bran.
Despite it signifying his end on the HBO show, Nairn named the door scene as his favorite to film.
“It was a lot of fun to shoot, believe it or not. Even though the outcome was not that,” he said.
“Well I enjoyed it,” Hempstead Wright said, laughing. “I literally actually fell asleep.”
Sophie Turner’s Sansa transformed the most last season, from a victim to a bad-a** game player who killed her sadistic husband Ramsay by feeding him to his own hounds.
“The past five seasons kind of felt like it was leading up to this for Sansa, and I finally felt like I had permission to be the girl I always knew she could be. I always saw the potential in her,” she said. “I don’t know, maybe she’s getting a taste for killing now.”
As for the Bolton bastard?
“A lot of people really want me to be unemployed, which is really nice,” actor Iwan Rheon joked. “I don’t think they understand the difficulty of being an actor. No, the response has been wonderful from the fans and stuff. It’s been lovely.”
