In search of the best amateur sportscaster in America, MLB Network Radio launched a “Fan Call of the Month” contest, and is set to announce its first winner live on August 26.

In search of the best amateur sportscaster in America, SiriusXM’s MLB Network Radio (Ch. 89 on XM/Ch. 209 on Sirius) launched its first-ever “Fan Call of the Month” contest, and is set to announce its first winner live on Wednesday, August 26 at 9am ET.

After listening to every participants’ own play-by-play call (see full entry details here), the SiriusXM MLB Network Radio staff selected five finalists – each profiled further below – to advance to a last phase of judgment by a panel of hosts that included Casey Stern, Mike Ferrin, and CJ Nitkowski. To find out who won the first contest, tune in to SiriusXM MLB Network Radio on Wednesday, August 26 at 9am ET, as the above panel of judges will play back and critique each finalists’ play-by-play call, before determining one ultimate winner!

In addition to other prizing involved, this contest winner will earn the opportunity to compete with the next two “Fan Call of the Month” contest winners in a live/virtual “Fan Call of the Year” competition for a grand prize that includes a trip for two (2), including round trip airfare, hotel accommodations, two tickets to the 2021 MLB All-Star Game®, AND the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to call a half-inning of the 2021 SiriusXM All-Star Futures Game™, plus one additional year of free SiriusXM along with an echo dot!
