The Doobie Brothers Take Over Classic Vinyl as Guest DJs to Celebrate Their 50th Anniversary

Tom Johnston and Pat Simmons are playing their favorite classic rock, legendary Doobies tracks, and two new songs.

It’s been a whirlwind 12 months for the Doobie Brothers, but the band shows no signs of slowing down with a new album and tour on the way.

In celebration of their 50th anniversary, Tom Johnston and Pat Simmons are taking over Classic Vinyl for a special Guest DJ session premiering August 6 at 5pm ET. Tune in to hear Johnston and Simmons play some of their favorite classic rock from artists they admire, legendary Doobies tracks, and two new songs from their newly released self-titled EP.

Between being inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Class of 2020, creating their first studio album in seven years, “Liberté” (out October 1), and making plans to set off on their rescheduled 50th Anniversary Tour with Michael McDonald later this month, the Doobie Brothers have been keeping the spirit of rock alive after rolling with the punches of a tumultuous year.
