While discussing his time as the frontman for Led Zeppelin and his enormously successful solo work, Robert Plant described to SiriusXM host David Fricke how he finds inspiration to write new songs, starting with the fact that he “always write[s] stuff down.”
“I think I’m always observant,” he said. “I see. I hear. I remark at the ridiculousness of my condition, and that kind of quite often gives me good fuel to sing about characters in songs who are actually me, but maybe they’re not.”
