After weeks of anticipation and negotiation, Budda Baker can now breathe a sigh of relief. The NFL Network reported that Baker received a raise prior to training camp, getting $2.4M in bonuses and incentives this year including a $300K signing bonus, in addition to receiving a raise for next season.

Baker said, “Yeah, definitely happy to have all that behind me. You know, I kind of left it upon my agent to do all the talk and do everything, kind of leave me out of it, and I was just able to grind and just understand the playbook, and that’s, that’s really about it.”

As the Cardinals enter a new era with a fresh coaching staff and management, Budda Baker finds himself in a position of leadership. He explained, “It’s definitely exciting to have these new coaches, just to develop a culture here with the Arizona Cardinals and just develop little intricate details that we use and we can have to be a better team.”

Baker’s enthusiasm for the team’s direction will benefit greatly as he looks to embrace his role as a veteran leader this upcoming season.
