After a historic 20-year career with the New England Patriots, six-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady is leaving Foxboro. Brady’s announcement, which he shared in a pair of social media posts on St. Patrick’s Day morning, not only surprised fans who have hunkered down amid the coronavirus outbreak, but also brought NFL great Brett Favre onto the SiriusXM NFL Radio (Ch. 88) airwaves to react to the breaking news.

Given how Favre left the Green Bay Packers for the Jets after a legendary 16-season stint, the Super Bowl champ offered his expertise to the situation during Tuesday’s episode of The SiriusXM Blitz, which Favre co-hosts with Bruce Murray and Brady Quinn during the NFL season. Favre called in for about 15 minutes and revealed that he wasn’t surprised about the move, reflected on Brady’s career, discussed which team he thinks the future Hall of Famer might end up on, and touched on the difficulties of learning a new offense (“Learning a new offense is like having to negotiate a billion-dollar deal in Japanese,” Favre said).
