Laugh your way through the holidays and tune in to hear a little piece of history on SiriusXM. On December 23 at 6pm, Comedy Greats (Ch. 94) will air a special featuring tapes from Jackie Gleason, a pioneer of late-night comedy, dubbed by Americans as “Mr. Saturday Night.” Don’t miss out on The Very Best of The Jackie Gleason Show, a two-hour block of the best sketches from Gleason’s iconic late show.

Gleason’s The Honeymooners sketches were re-released several years ago as The Lost Episodes, but this will be the first live, audio-only broadcast of Gleason’s material since the Eisenhower presidency.

The Jackie Gleason Show brought millions of Americans together each time it aired from the 1950s through the 1970s, earning Gleason the title, “The Great One.” This special will showcase some of Gleason’s most compelling characters from the show, such as Joe the Bartender, Charlie Bratton, and Reggie Van Gleason III, all of which helped to shape modern television and late night comedy shows.

Can’t tune in the first time around or just want to spend the holidays laughing all the way? Hear the special again on December 24 at 3pm ET, December 25 at 12pm ET or play the special on the SiriusXM app.
