Legendary bluegrass, folk rock and country artist Chris Hillman joins the lineup on Dwight Yoakam & the Bakersfield Beat. On his show, “Chris Hillman’s Burrito Stand,” he talks with the artists that shaped southern California’s country and California country-rock genres.

Dwight Yoakam described Chris Hillman’s show as “a fascinating musical journey to take with him and his guest through their discussions and insights about the foundational beginnings and evolution of California’s Country-Rock in becoming such a profound piece of the world’s musical lexicon.”

About Chris Hillman

A pioneer of country rock, Hillman was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1991 with his band The Byrds. He’s also been a member of The Flying Burrito Brothers, the Desert Rose Band, and Manassas.

From his enduring history to his newest musical achievements, Hillman’s repertoire translates impeccably to the concert stage, enhanced by his vocals and his gifts as a musician. In 2017, he released his first solo album in 12 years, “Bidin’ My Time,” produced by Tom Petty. His critically acclaimed memoir, “Time Between: My Life As A Byrd, Burrito Brother and Beyond,” was published in 2020.
