Douglas Flowe on “Uncontrollable Blackness: African American Men and Criminality in Jim Crow New York”

Douglas Flowe, assistant professor of history in Arts & Sciences at Washington University in St. Louis, joined Joe Madison to share the details of his new book "Uncontrollable Blackness," to explain why he centered his work on New York City, and to break down the history of prejudice and discrimination in the South and the North in the early 20th century.
